The request was conveyed by Vice Chairman PPP Lukman Hakim Saifuddin in Jakarta, Saturday (2/3). "It should be a thorough assessment of the existence of Densus 88," he said.

According to Lukman, National Police Chief Gen. Timur Pradopo should seriously follow the demands of a number of Islamic organizations that require the dissolution of Detachment 88. The reason, he said, had long existence Detachment 88 disturbing sense of justice.

He considered, Detachment 88 is sometimes too arbitrary in combating terrorism. Detachment members often commit random shootings and killings with the fight against terrorism. However, the action actually violates human rights.
