Police Denies Terrorist Detachment 88 Persecution Unexpected


VIVAnews - Chief of National Police Bureau Public Information Brig. Joey Boy Amar denied members of the Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-Terror persecuted suspected terrorists. Boy doubt the perpetrators of the violence seen in the video footage that was reported by a number of Islamic organizations, such as the Ulama, Muhammadiyah and NU; were Detachment personnel.


"We declare after careful impressions lasted 13 minutes, we can not be sure it is a member of Detachment," Boy said in a press conference at Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Monday, March 4, 2013.

Boy said it was studying the footage reported. He conceded that it was showing the arrest of a suspected or suspected terrorists in Poso in January 2007.

"So in 2007 in Poso was against their law enforcement activities related violence. According to information we received, the suspect is prosecuted," he said.

Boy said unexpected is called Wiwin. Currently, the relevant central serving time in prison, Palu.
