Ahmadinejad: Sanctions Sentenced West? I do not Care!


TEHRAN - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad claims the country to create wealth through oil revenue rather than research. Ahmadinejad called the West imposed economic sanctions as a weak attack.

"Do not buy our oil? I do not care! Better for you (the West) do not have to buy, income 10 times greater get into the pockets of the citizens, through research and the research of our scientists," Ahmadinejad said when addressing Hamedan City, as quoted by the Associated Press on Wednesday (23/01/2013).
Last week, Ahmadinejad also suggested that the country reduce its dependence on oil revenues in order to overcome Western sanctions. As you know, oil has become the backbone of the State economy Persia.
Approximately 80 percent of Iran's total revenue comes from oil sales. But this time, oil sales plummeted by 45 percent because of Western sanctions. The sanctions were none other than the form of the West over Iran's nuclear fears.
On 17 January, the President of Iran and even then urged parliament to allow the program cuts subsidies to rescue the economy. The policy has been the subject of debate in Iran since 2012 ago, but decided to delay the Iranian Parliament's debate.
"If this plan (cut subsidies), fully implemented, will prosperity equally well, the financial state will be protected, will increase the production sector, the dependence of the oil revenues will be reduced, and poverty can terentaskan," said Ahmadinejad at the Iranian Parliament.
Members of the Iranian Parliament Mohammad Reza Bahonar speech Ahmadinejad responded by saying that there are problems that arise when the Iranian government's subsidy reform. Meanwhile, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani argued, any policy can be done as long as the policy is not going to lower the production sector in Iran.
