French-US forces failed in Somalia frees hostages

Headline - French troops aided the United States failed in the operation to free hostages in Somalia last week. Hostages who is an agent of French intelligence unclear fate, whether dead or alive.

CNN reported, it was announced by U.S. President Barack Obama on Sunday. In the details, Obama said that U.S. forces in operation last Friday just give "a little technical assistance" to the French troops who stormed a terrorist.

"The U.S. forces did not take part directly in the attack on the spot believed to be holding a French citizen," Obama said.

The raid carried out around 8 pm Friday in Bulo Marer, about 75 miles northwest of Mogadishu. Its mission is to liberate Denis Allex, a French intelligence operatives abducted since July 14, 2009 by a group of al-Shabaab.
Crossfire between the French forces and militants intense. According to the French Defense Ministry, 17 terrorists were killed and a successful French soldiers were killed, another was missing.

Kemhan France declared the operation failed and the hostages were likely killed. But al-Shabaab militants said in a statement that Allex is alive and unharmed. Hostage now moved to another location, its fate will be decided in two days.
