Fatwa Haram charity on the Road, Beggar: Not What Instead of stealing


Jakarta - The Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Jakarta forbids giving money to beggars at traffic lights. Responding to the beggars in Patal Senayan not feel affected by the fatwa.


"Yes, what people do not what his right name.'ll Also not haram virtually nothing. Instead of stealing," said one of the beggars in the red light district Patal Senayan, Munah, told AFP on Thursday (01/10/2013)

According Munah (70), it's sustenance from God. So if there is a fatwa like that will not make him change his profession.

"If nobody did not give us anything. Dapet If dapet mah aja," said Munah that have become a beggar for 12 years.

Munah said during a beggar he never forced anyone to love money. "Beggars on the streets is illegal. Kiai haram but said little," he said.
