Jakarta Provincial Government will build a large mosque and magnificent highway as the Istiqlal Mosque in Kapuk, West Jakarta. It is said Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo while attending Gebyar Muharram 1434 Hijri and Tabligh Akbar Tausyiah Muharram, in Sunda Kelapa Mosque in Menteng,
"The construction of the mosque is planned highway began in 2013," said Jokowi.
The desire to build a mosque highway after Jokowi know that the city administration has so far not had a huge mosque and magnificent feast.
"It's Istiqlal Mosque state assets, not the city government. Means that Jakarta does not have any highway mosque. Highway I would wake mosque in the capital," said Jokowi.
He explained that the land to be used for highway construction of the mosque has been available in the Kapuk, West Jakarta. Mosque highway will be built in an area of four acres which begin next year. Jokowi also called for the construction of this highway will mosque synonymous with ethnic Betawi.
"I do not know what kind of character Betawi. So, I leave a message to the architect who designed the mosque highway Betawi character," he said.
However, Jokowi claimed to have forgotten the amount of the budget allocated for the construction of the mosque highway. "Obviously, the mosque highway construction budget is available on Local Budget 2013," he said.
