Not Manned Aircraft RI Most Advanced Se-East Asia

BANDUNG - drone technology in Indonesia claimed the most advanced in Southeast Asia. For example, compared with Malaysia and Singapore.

"Malaysia is still below us. Fact, compared with other Southeast Asian countries such as Singapore, we are still better," said Chairman of the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Flight (FTMD) Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) Taufiq Mulyanto

Since yesterday Friday, November 2nd through Sunday November 4, FTMD ITB held a contest drone (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle / UAV) through Indonesia Aerial Robot Contest (IARC) 2012 in Lanud Sulaeman, Soreang, Bandung regency.

Advanced Taufiq, Singapore does have a good resource. However, if traced, human resources instead of Indonesia, for example, from ITB.

"Malaysia has not (yet its advanced UAV), in our kitchen," he added.

So with dihelatnya IARC 2012, the spirit to develop drone technology in Indonesia increased. "Through this event we have to continue to fly the flag," he said.

IARC 2012 is an annual event that has been held FTMD ITB since 2008. This time, IARC unlike previous years, where the show was held in the outdoor. Typically, IARC ITB ITB held in room FTMD, Ganeca Road, London. So the challenge this time participants will IARC heavier.
