STONE, KOMPAS.com - Due to work outside the city, as many as 15 thousand people in Batu, East Java, have not been taking care of the electronic identity card (e-ID). Residents who completed the e-ID card data record in a tourist town as much as 131 thousand people. While citizen e-ID cards compulsory in the city reach 146 thousand inhabitants.

"People who have not done a record data E-KTP, for work outside Batu," said Acting Head of the Department of Population and Civil Registration (Dispendukcapil) Batu, Tatik Retno Herath, to Kompas.com, Thursday (12/13/2012) .

According Tatik, for the people who took care of the e-ID card, since 19 November last, the electronic identity card is accepted residents now. Every day, at least 500 people were scheduled to take the e-ID card each day at the district office. The terms of e-ID card, residents are required to bring a family card (KK) and the original old ID card.

"Later, the original ID cards exchanged with a new e-ID card. Otherwise carry terms that can not be taken," said Tatik.

Seeing the many people who do not take care of the e-ID card, Tatik hope, soon taken care of. "Because e-ID card will be in place in early 2013," he said.
