(ESDM) Rubiandini Rudi said the government should raise the price of fuel oil (BBM) bersubsdi. Because the state is
too heavy burden to subsidize fuel.
Rudi said, the easiest way to relieve the increasing burden on the state quota of subsidized fuel is to raise subsidized fuel prices, or reduced subsidies on fuel.
"The easiest way that raises fuel prices. Because if we continue to enjoy an excellent fuel subsidy burden to state, the future of our country is threatened," said Rudi, in his office, Jakarta, Friday (06/12/2012).
Additionally, Rudi adding one factor is not growing use of Renewable Energy (EBT) is the influence of cheap subsidized energy prices, making people reluctant to move from the use of subsidized fuel.
"We have wind, water, solar, geothermal has abundant renewable energy. Was all finished off on the available fuel is so cheap with subsidies so expensive. Was key (price increase)," added Rudi. (wdi)
