Dutch Government Should Adopt Period Build Infrastructure
Headline - Reuters Group President, Jacob Oetama, said Indonesia could be modeled on the Dutch colonial policy, particularly the Governor-General Deandels, who built great roads in Java.
Jacob Oetama explained, whenever talking about infrastructure Indonesia, Kompas general manager is always remembered with Deandels policies that build the infrastructure on the island of Java.

Jacob explained, infrastructure, particularly roads, is one of the strategic backbone of development of the very basic and needs to be developed. Therefore, the government should really serious in its development.
He reminded all stakeholders, especially the government, the importance of infrastructure to spur economic growth in Indonesia in the future.
"When the time of renewal, I liked the way from Jakarta to Yogyakarta and the path (which is built Deandels). Highway is the backbone of strategic development, and lately we feel again and one of the urgent," he said.
In response, the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Hatta Rajasa, said the government should take a lesson from the colonial era infrastructure, so it can be a trigger for improvement in the future.
