Honor the Victims of Shooting, U.S. Flag Half Column Kibarkan
Washington - The tragedy of shooting at an elementary school (SD) in Connecticut, United States (U.S.) remains sorrow for all the people of the United States. President Barack Obama also ordered dikibarkannya flag at half-mast throughout the United States to honor the dead.
As reported by AFP on Saturday (12/15/2012), President Obama's instructions issued shortly after he received a report about the tragic incident that killed 27 people, 20 of whom are children. Instructions raising the flag at half-mast is effective until December 18.
Raising the flag at half-mast is mandatory for all facilities as well as military and government buildings, including the U.S. White House. Furthermore, Obama condemned the brutal shooting called 'inhumane acts'.
In response to this tragedy speech at the White House, Obama was crying. Obama, who is also the father of 2 children had a chance to stop his speech for a few seconds to wipe tears from his eyes and compose himself.
"Most of the deaths are children, cute little children between the ages of 5 to 10 years. Still a lot of things they have to go through in life, birthday, graduation, wedding, to have children of their own," Obama said in his statement U.S. White House, Friday (14/12) evening local time.
In his speech, Obama explained, he commented not as president, but as a father. "Our hearts are shattered today, for parents and grandparents, sisters and brothers of these little children and the families left behind," he said.
Brutal shootings occurred in elementary Sandy Hook, Newtown, Connecticut, USA, on Friday (14/12) local time. Shooting, killing a total of 27 people, consisting of 20 children and 7 adults including offenders. The gunmen who were aged 20 years into the classroom and opened fire indiscriminately, and then committed suicide.
