TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA - To improve the quality of the 2014 election, and give rights to all citizens of Indonesia (WNI), especially overseas, the General Election Commission (KPU) Indonesia signed a memorandum of understanding between the Chairman of the Commission and the Minister of Foreign Affairs on the implementation of election 2014 .
Chairman of the Commission, said that according to Husni Kamil Manik Act No. 15 of 2011 and Law No. 8 of 2012, the Commission has an obligation to cooperate with related parties included in foreign elections.
One is for the formation of the election including the State Election Committee (PPLN), State Election organizers (PPPLN), and group organizers abroad.
"This agreement and related guidelines to organize elections abroad exercising," said Husni in his office, Jakarta, Thursday (06/12/2012).
One indicator of the success of the elections was overseas Husni said the high voter turnout.
"Hopefully, ministers can give hope, motivate our people abroad to not participate in the voting process," he said.
According to him, at the time of elections in 2009 turnout of overseas citizens is still low. Citizens can not be constrained to the polling station (polling stations) because most busy with routine work.
