"If Officer Salary Increases, Benefit Disappeared"

JAKARTA - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) will raise the salaries of officials the country, including the regents. However, as compensation for salary increases, it benefits those officials will be eliminated.

This was stated by the Minister of Home Affairs Gamawan (Interior Minister) governor in the seminar "On the Village Act and the efforts Creating Independence In Creating a Prosperous Village Community", in the Office of the DPP Golkar Party, Slipi, West Jakarta, Thursday (02/21/2013).

"If the salary is increased, other income will be eliminated," he said.
He explained that, currently calculated how much income other than salaries of officials. According to him, having calculated the salaries of the officials has included other perks.

He explained that the salary increase is not only applied to the Regent of course, but other state officials from the MPR, DPR, DPD and will be applied as a whole. "Let no one is too jomplang between the salaries of state officials, other state officials," added Gamawan.
