New Supreme Court Justice Candidate Applicant 17 people, Closed Next Week
Jakarta - Ten days have passed since it opened, the number of prospective applicants justices still quiet enthusiasts. This justices will be hearing the whole case in Indonesia, from divorce, corruption, crime perbankkan even to the division of the spoils of war.
"The number of applicants selected until the tenth day is 17 people, consisting of 12 judges and 5 non-career career (community leaders)," said a spokesman KY, Asep Rahmat Fajar, Saturday (02/16/2013).
Although staying a week longer, KY expects to receive at least 100 registrants. For applicants from the public, then at least a doctoral degree with a minimum of 15 years experience in the legal field.
"Even a 1-week registration period longer, KY is still optimistic the target will be met because the number of applicants filled from previous experience by the end of the registration period is usually the number of applicants will rise sharply," said Asep.
Today the Supreme Court (MA) has 41 justices. Eight justices newly elected parliament is still awaiting Presidential Decree. The plan this year, as many as 7 people justices will retire.
There are seven vacancies for the position left vacant after Djoko Sarwoko in criminal rooms, Abdul Kadir Mappong (Civil), and Paul Effendi Lotulung (State Administration).
In addition, Judge Nyak Pha (Criminal), Muhammad Taufik (Civil), Achmad Yamanie (Criminal), and one position in the room to complement the lack of criminal proceeds candidate selection justices before.
