NATO air attack kills 10 civilians in Afghanistan


Kabul - Duh! NATO airstrikes reportedly killed 10 civilians in Afghanistan. Most of the dead were women and children.

They were killed in a NATO air strike that was launched into a remote area of ​​eastern Afghanistan today.


"Five children, four women and a man were killed in the attack," said the governor of Kunar province, Sayed Fazulullah Wahidi told AFP on Wednesday (02/13/2013).

Meanwhile, according to the district governor Abdul Zahir, three Taliban commanders, including Shahpoor, known militant leaders linked to al-Qaeda, was also killed in the NATO air strikes.

According to Zahir, air strikes in support of ground operations that coalition forces and Afghan forces in the region hit by widespread Taliban attacks. He admitted that the NATO air strike also killed a number of civilians.
