Malaysia arrests cousin Sultan in Sabah, Sulu Ready War
Headline - Dispute Tanduo region, Lahad Datu, Sabah, the Sulu Sultanate Philippines to Malaysia is not over. Occupation by forces of Sultan of Sulu is still ongoing.
The situation in the region reportedly even more heat. Malaysia have arrested a woman accused of residents who are relatives Tanduo Jamalul Sulu Sultan Kiram.
"He is my cousin. I have to say that our other female relatives also be arrested in Sabah," said brother Sultan Jamalul Kiram, the Viceroy Agbimuddin Kiram, as quoted by GMA News, Wednesday, February 27, 2013.
"This is the beginning of action. This reflects the attitude of Malaysian politics," he added.
According Kiram, the Sultanate of Sulu was not fear if the army would invade his followers Malaysia Sabah. Because, he said, Sulu also has an army. "We are ready to fight, we have an army," he said. "This place belongs to us, we will still be here."
Meanwhile, Vice President Jejomar Binay said the Philippine government had held a meeting with Sultan Jamalul Kiram. The Philippine government asked the Sultanate of Sulu to resolve this dispute amicably.
"I met with the Sultan Kiram. He explained to me about their position and I listen to him. Then I confirmed the position of the Philippines. I emphasize that both parties should try to resolve this issue peacefully," said Binay.
Earlier, troops Malaysia gave a warning to the followers of the Sultan of Sulu to immediately leave Sabah. Malaysia will invade if the warning is ignored. However, the Sultan of Sulu to the firm said it would not withdraw its troops.
