Jimly: KPK should Introspection If True 'Sprindik' Anas Case Leaks

Jakarta - draft document sprindik (commencement warrant investigation) related to the case of the Chairman of the Democratic Party, Anas Urbaningrum appeared in public. Currently, the Commission is conducting an examination of whether the document is genuine or fake.


"If it's true (original), there is an internal problem in the KPK," said
constitutional law expert, Jimly Asshiddiqie while talking to AFP on Tuesday (12/02/2013).

Jimly added that the Commission should improve itself if the document to be authentic. According to him, the Commission is the body that are prone to conflict and external pressure.

"His name is also human. Moreover, institutions that have the authority so determines. Was any effort to find out what was inside," said Jimly.

According to him, the external threats to the legal institutions such as the KPK will never stop. So the Commission need to introspect continuously to deal with it.

"This should be taken seriously," added Jimly.

He said Indonesia is currently experiencing institutional problems. All jurisdictions are facing internal problems of its own.

"So the need, in which we hold a massive change.'s Time we restructure the state bureaucracy," he said.

According to Jimly, this is a matter of institutional arrangement. Not just the administration. "So that we can serve the appropriate institutions," said Jimly
