Press Force Sulu Philippines, Malaysia blockade Lahad Datu
Headline - Tensions continue to occur in the region of Lahad Datu, Sabah, which is a bone of contention between Malaysia and the Sultanate of Sulu, Philippines. Authority Malaysia even cutting off supplies of food to the region to suppress the people of the Sultanate of Sulu who refused to leave Sabah.
Secretary General of the Sultanate of Sulu, Abraham Idjirani, strongly condemned the blockade. He added, blockade of foodstuffs as a violation of the Royal Sulu led by Raja Muda Abimuddin Kiram.
"We emphasize that our people go peacefully, Sabah is our homeland," he said as quoted Idjirani philstar, Wednesday, February 20, 2013.
In the meantime, one of the heirs of the Sultanate of Sulu, Sultan Raja Mohammad Hasan Ghamar Mamay Abdurajak, confirms Sabah is owned by the Sultanate of Sulu. "Malaysia must respect our rights, and Sabah continues to be owned by the Sultanate of Sulu and North Borneo. Our owner Sabah," he said, as stated Manila Times.
Abdurajak asked the Malaysian government to not injure about 600 Filipino Muslims who are followers of the Sultanate of Sulu in a village in Lahad Datu.
Meanwhile, Abduraajak wife, Empress Maria Makiling Helen Fatima Nasaria Panolino Abdurajak, asked the Philippine government to ensure the safety of his followers were arrested in Sabah. He said thousands of Muslimdi Sabah support the claim of the Sultanate of Sulu over Sabah.
"The government and Congress must do something to get more Sabah. This shows us into foreigners in their own territory," he said.
