Two of America's Big Media Attacked Hacker Origin China


VIVAnews - Two major media in the United States experienced cyber attacks allegedly by hackers from China. Allegedly, the attack was carried out following the news about the Beijing government.


CNN reported on Thursday the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported that their computer network systems compromised by Chinese hackers. Paula Keve, head of communications at the WSJ's parent company, Dow Jones & Co.. said the perpetrators successfully monitor the WSJ reporter reporting information about China.

Media New York Times also reported the same thing. According to The Times, in the last four months, their networks compromised and stolen corporate data. In this investigation, the kind known to hackers insert malware into the network system.

Internet security company, Mandiant, The Times hired to track down the perpetrators of this attack found that originated in China. The hackers are using multiple computers at the same university used the Chinese military to attack U.S. government networks in the past.

However, the Chinese government through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told The Times allegations are unfounded and irresponsible.

"China is also a victim of a hacker attack. Chinese law expressly prohibits this practice, and we hope the relevant parties take the responsibility in this matter," a spokesman for the government of China, Hong Lei.
